Camp Bridge Camp Bridge

Camp Bridge is an integrated summer day camp program designed to meet the needs of children ages 4-13. With access to typical peers from neighboring X-CAMP, experts in the field of Autism will provide positive, enriching experiences structured to enhance language and complete community participation. Innovative activities and varied adaptations are continually incorporated into the Camp Bridge experience.

This is the piece of the puzzle parents have been looking for. A team of Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapists, along with Regular and Special Education teachers, will focus on helping typical peers to understand children on the Autistic spectrum, also knows as Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), which incorporates Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and PDD-NOS. Additionally, we cater to those children who exhibit symptoms of ADD or ADHD. Through integration of children with and without disabilities, and a staff ratio of 3:1, our weekly sessions are theme-based. Each theme has incorporated lessons including art, music, reading activities, field trips and language-based instruction. Our staff is highly trained in a variety of approaches, including A.B.A/Verbal Behavior, discrete trial, natural environment teaching and the floor time approach.
